Cherai Gowreeshwara Temple
is one of the main Hindu temple in Kerala state, south India. This temple is in Cherai village in Ernakulam district of Kerala. Temple is mainatained byVinjhana Vardhini Sabha (V. V Sabha). It also known as Malyala palani മലയാള പഴനി orMuruga Temple. The Cherai Gowreeshwara Temple festival is one of the main festivals in the Eranakulam district. The festival happens every year towards the last 2 weeks of January or first 2 weeks of February. The main attractions are caparisoned elephant march(around 20-30 elephants).
