Sree Maheswara Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is situated in Koorkancherry, 2 km away from Thrissur. The temple idol was installed by the well known religious and social reformer, Sree Narayana Guru. The Thypooya Mahotsav, the annual seven day festival of the temple is celebrated with pomp and splendor by the devotees. Regular bus and taxi services are available to the temple.
